Harvest Moon bound for PAL territories

[11.29.00] » UbiSoft, Natsume strike deal to release Harvest Moon around the world.

   UbiSoft announced today that it has begun a three-year agreement with Natsume to release the latter company's games in PAL territories such as Europe, Australia, and New Zealand. Foremost of the titles is the ever-popular farming sim series Harvest Moon. Two Harvest Moon titles -- Harvest Moon: Back To Nature for PlayStation and Harvest Moon 2 for Game Boy Color -- will be released under the agreement in the first quarter of 2001.

   "We are very excited about working together with such a leading and reputable company like Ubi Soft for the distribution of our titles in Europe," said Hiro Maekawa, president and CEO of Natsume Incorporated. "This is the beginning of nationwide distribution of our titles in Europe with the help of Ubi Soft's powerful sales team. We look forward to expanding our relationship to include titles under development for next-generation consoles, such as the Sony PS2, the Microsoft Xbox, the Nintendo GameCube, and the Game Boy Advance."
