Square confirms Final Fantasy IX release date

   Square today announced a November 14th North American release date for Final Fantasy IX, confirming a date that has already been reported by major retailers.

   "Anticipation has been building for the next installment in the Final Fantasy series," said Jun Iwasaki, president of Square Electronic Arts. "Now fans of the series have only three weeks to wait before they enter the completely new world that Final Fantasy IX offers."

   Final Fantasy IX carries a suggested retail price of $40 US.
