Metal Gear Solid X confirmed as XBox launch title

    Microsoft has confirmed that Metal Gear Solid X -- the XBox port of Konami's Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty -- will now be available as a launch title for the XBox. Furthermore, Microsoft is still anticipating a late 2001 launch for the XBox, while Konami has stated a winter 2001 release date for Metal Gear Solid 2 on the PlayStation 2. If both release dates can hold true for another year, the two industry giants will be going head to head over one of the most widely anticipated games on the market.
