Samba de Amigo 2000 details
[09.22.00] » Sega shakes its money maker.
Famitsu announced some time ago that Samba de Amigo would see a "sequel" within the year, and the first details emerged yesterday at Sega's JAMMA show. Called Samba de Amigo ver. 2000, the new version is firmly within the precedents set by Konami's Bemani series for music game sequels.
Samba de Amigo 2000 has all of the songs from the first game, with a host of new songs to go along with them. There's also a new gameplay mode, which adds maraca swinging to the existing gameplay elements of shaking and posing. Since the sequel is for now only in arcade, it adds some elements from the Dreamcast version, such as the Love-Love "compatibility test" mode. Sega didn't say which new songs have been added, or whether ver.2000 would see a Dreamcast release.
