Silent Hill GBA to contain FMV opening

[08.24.00] » Yet another Game Boy Advance feature.

It might not have much in the way of gameplay, but the "visual novel" version of Silent Hill for the Game Boy Advance is confirmed as keeping one thing from its PSX ancestor: the full-motion video opening. The little device handles the CG video almost as well as the PlayStation, with only a drop in resolution and at about 15 frames a second. Since a visual novel game leaves some space left over in the cart, don't look for FMV to pop up in too many games, but it's interesting that the GBA can handle such high-performance tasks.
