First pictures of Game Boy Advance hardware
[08.23.00] » Little. Powerful. Game Boy Advance.
Thanks to an anonymous French benefactor named "Lethal," the GIA presents the first photographs of the Game Boy Advance, scanned straight from the pages of the latest Famitsu magazine. Nintendo's enigmatic Spaceworld ad was the only clue given to the hardware so far, and a quick comparison makes it clear these pictures are legitimate: the embossed, cylindrical start button encircled by an oval; the angle the word "START" makes with the D-pad, and the bounding edges of the system and the screen.
The system design has everything you'd expect from the specifications: two face buttons, two shoulder buttons, and start and select buttons. A headphone jack and cartridge slot are clearly visible, as well a communications port that will likely work with both other GBAs and the forthcoming Dolphin console. Enjoy your first look at Nintendo's next-generation portable system.
