Metal Gear Solid PC website launches

[03.09.00] » Snake puts on eyeshadow for his game's makeover.

Though PC games aren't normally covered on the GIA, the newly launched website for Metal Gear Solid PC is worth a look for fans of the series. The graphics have been overhauled, with support for various 3D cards and screen resolutions implemented. (Though the GIA isn't sure about their decision to add eye textures to the character models.) Furthermore, since the PC version is a port of Metal Gear Solid Integral, the "enhanced" version never before seen in the U.S., it will feature the "Very Easy" mode and the ability to move around in first-person view.

Other highlights of the site are several screenshots from the game, and an interview with the project's manager explaining the story and gameplay concepts to series newcomers. The director also mentions that the game will be "fully localized" for German and French players--if this means voice acting as well as text, we may have the option to hear Snake in gruff German tones, or Sniper Wolf in a soft French accent. Ooh la la!
