Tales of Eternia receives release date and Limited Edition
[08.17.00] » Namco plans to give their PSX RPG the deluxe treatment in late November.
While it was announced earlier in the month that the third game in Namco's Tales series would hit Japanese stores in November, online retailer NCS has nailed down a specific date for the game. Tales of Eternia will hit Japan on November 30 for 5800 yen. In addition, Namco has jumped on the Limited Edition bandwagon, and will release a limited edition box set of the game for 9800 yen. The limited edition will feature not only 4-color printing on the disc and a special container, but also has such exciting merchandise as a cel phone strap with five attachable characters, an art book, and everybody's favorite, a clock emblazoned with a Tales of Eternia design (which you can place next to your Chrono Cross and Final Fantasy Tactics clocks, and gaze at while wearing your Persona 2: Eternal Punishment watch and Valkyrie Profile pocketwatch).
Namco has yet to announce any plans for either Tales of Eternia or the first in the Tales series, Tales of Phantasia. For now it appears that the middle child in the series, Tales of Destiny, will remain the only North American title.
