Final Fantasy I, II, III Wonderswan-bound

[08.16.00] » Final Fantasy I, II, III not U.S.-bound

Square recently confirmed ports of the first three Famicom Final Fantasies to Bandai's portable Wonderswan system. It is unknown what redesigns and changes, if any, will be made to the games to accomodate the hand-held format. Square also announced they would continue bringing original games to the Wonderswan. The first of these games will be Hataraku Chocobo (Working Chocobo), a farming simulation that will be released on September 21st.

The Wonderswan is an inexpensive (2800 yen, or $30) handheld system with a blurry black-and-white screen and many popular licenses. Mattel recently cancelled plans to bring the system stateside, so U.S. gamers are unlikely to see these three portable games any time soon
