Ulala appears at MTV awards

    September 7 has a double significance for Sega: its SegaNet online service goes live and mascot Ulala will make a public showing.

    Unfortunately, Ulala won't be at the MTV Awards live, the way she was at E3 with her dancing entourage. Instead, she will appear on screen in her CG form to present the best dance video, and hopefully encourage more people to give her quirky yet addicting game a try.

    Sega sponsored last year's awards heavily, as it coincided with the release of the Dreamcast, so to have one of their boldest new mascots there the day SegaNet goes live is definitely a smart move aimed at the right audience.
