A recent announcement from Nintendo of Japan lifts the curtain on the latest incarnation of Nintendo's cash cow --Pokémon Stadium Gold & Silver. Unsurprisingly, the title will be for the N64, and as in the original two titles, combatants will be able to pit their Game Boy Pokémon against one another in 3D battle.

Continuing the tradition set with Pokémon Stadium 2 (the installment brought to the U.S.), the Gold & Silver edition will include all known 251 Pokémon. Also included is continued support for the GB64 add-on, allowing players to use bestiaries earned in any or all of the Game Boy Blue, Red, Green, Yellow, Silver, Gold, and Aqua-Mauve-with-Violet-Polka-Dots versions already in circulation.

Nintendo currently plans to launch Pokémon Gold & Silver in December; no word yet on the probable U.S. release.
