Ages of Empires 2 heading to the PlayStation 2

    Konami's showing no signs of slowing down the with PlayStation 2. At a recent European gaming conference, Konami announced plans to bring Ages of Empires 2 over to the PS2. Ages of Empires 2 features thirteen different races, each with its own mastery in a certain area of the art of war. Players can engage in army combat akin to that of Blizzard's popular Warcraft II, albeit on a more realistic level. Players must also manage the different aspects of the growing civilization, such as developing different technologies and researching advanced war techniques, devices, and soldiers. The civilization's supplies of gold, lumber, and food must also be kept at stable levels, challenging the player especially during wartime.
