[07.16.00] »
Sega announces that they will release a sequel to one of the most popular
Dreamcast games to date.
While the North American version of the game has not even shipped yet,
Japanese gamers are already gearing up to a Seaman sequel. Titled Seaman:
Forbidden Pet 2001 Edition, the update promises to provide better speech
recognition, more camera angles, and a more even difficulty. Also, Sega
promises that Seaman will speak more often, and with a larger vocabulary.
Seaman: Forbidden Pet 2001 Edition will ship in Japan on August 10, a mere
two days after the North American version of the game comes out. The sequel
will retail for 6800 yen, as opposed to the suggested retail price of
$49.99 for the English version.
