Eternal Ring improved for North American release

Agetec listens to the pleas of gamers everywhere and tweaks the first PS2 RPG.
In a recent interview with the Agetec producers of Eternal Ring, it was
revealed that the North American release of the game would be greatly
improved upon from the original Japanese version. One of the biggest
problems many importers reported was the extremely sluggish speed of the
game. The English release will feature a greatly sped up character right
from the start. Also, the game's DVD medium will be fully utilized to
provide the game with full speech instead of the mere on-screen dialogue
that was present in the Japanese version.
One feature that will not be added is any sort of mapping function. While
some players complained about the lack of an automapper, the producers
don't want to make the game a pushover, and wish for the players to do
their own mapping.
Eternal Ring is currently scheduled to ship on October 26th, the same day
that the PlayStation 2 hits stores.
