New use found for Samba de Amigo maracas, Seaman microphone

[06.23.00] » Those who imported the controllers for big bucks can now rest easy.

Dreamcast Magazine finally confirmed what has been rumored for a while: the Samba de Amigo Maracas Controllers and the Dreamcast Microphone are able to be used in more than one game. Namco's upcoming Dreamcast version of their action puzzler Mr. Driller supports both controllers in full, allowing you to shake the maracas in the direction that you want Mr. Driller to drill, or shout at him to drill via the microphone while pressing the correct direction on the D-Pad. Not to leave the other multitude of Dreamcast perhipherals in the dark, Mr. Driller is also rumored to support Arcade Stick, the Racing Controller, the Keyboard, the Modem, the Dance Dance Revolution Controller, the Dreamcast Fishing Controller, the Flight Stick, the VGA Box, the PuruPuru/Jump Pack, and the VMU (in other words, every single released Dreamcast peripheral). Of course, how well these controllers will work with the game is yet to be determined, but it is nice to see companies starting to support specialty controllers such as the Maracas and the Microphone.:

Importers can look to scream at Mr. Driller starting Jun 29th, when the game is released in Japan.
