Weekly Famitsu tackles the latest Japanese games
[06.23.00] » Persona 2: Eternal Punishment, TVDJ, more go under the Japanese magazine's
scrutious eye.
With the coming week being one brimming with many releases in the Japanese
gaming world, Famitsu had its hands full with game ratings this week. The
well-renown magazine gave Atlus' highly anticipated sequel-to-a-sequel,
Persona 2: Eternal Punishment a Gold rating, serving it up four 8's. Sony's
PS2 cel-shader TVDJ also went under examination, and ended up with a Silver,
with scores of 7, 7, 8, and 9, scores that have become all too typical for
PlayStation 2 games. All of the scores for the genres that the GIA covers
can be found below:
Persona 2: Eternal Punishment (Atlus, PlayStation): 8, 8, 8, 8 - Gold
TVDJ (SCEI, PlayStation 2): 7, 7, 8, 9 - Silver
Record of the Lodoss War (Kadokawa Shouten, Dreamcast): 7, 7, 7, 6 - Silver
Mister Driller (Namco, Dreamcast/Playstation): 8, 9, 8, 7 - Gold
Mister Driller (Namco, GameBoy Color): 8, 7, 8, 7 - Silver
