Konami confirms two new Suikoden titles in the works

Konami has revealed that they're working on two new Suikoden titles, both a new installment in the regular series and the beginning of a new spinoff series. Suikoden III was announced for the PlayStation 2, with no release date in mind. The second title, in development for the PlayStation, is called Suikogaiden Volume 1: Swordsman of Harmonia, and will be the first game in the ongoing Suikogaiden series. Suikogaiden is closer than you'd think, however. Konami officials have stated that the game should see a Japanese release this fall.
Although the location of Suikoden III is as of yet unknown, it should be noted that Harmonia was mentioned in Suikoden 2 as being a neighboring country to the locale where the first two games took place. Seeing as many Suikoden 1 characters made it to the new country that Suikoden 2 took place in, a few familiar faces are sure to pop up along the way.
