Metal Gear Solid 2 AI details
[05.26.00] » MGS2. It's thinking.
Apparently taking complaints to heart that the nearsighted, dimwitted Genome Soldiers from Metal Gear Solid weren't much of a challenge, Hideo Kojima has said in interviews that a third of the processing power will be devoted to enemy behavior patterns and AI. The same military specialist involved in the PlayStation game will return, and will help to implement enemy patterns such as clean sweeps. The soldiers in MGS2 will also have military rank, which will affect the way they think and search.
In other news, Metal Gear Solid 2 will be released on a DVD-ROM rather than CDs. Should be interesting to see what just what Konami uses the extra storage space for.
