E3: Bust-a-Groove 2 impressions
[05.12.00] » New localization details on Enix's rhythm game.
Enix was showing the U.S. version of Bust-a-Groove 2. As previously reported by the GIA, the title has undergone a few small localization changes. Some songs' lyrics have been changed to English (though the music itself has been untouched). Hiro, bane of localizers everywhere, has again been cleaned up for the U.S. version; this time, his cigarettes have vanished and his character icon now reads "I (HEART) ME." Some of the jokes from the ending sequences have also been dropped due to their exceedingly poor taste and lack of humor. Take it from someone who has heard the ending "humor": you're not missing out on anything. Besides these few small changes, the title itself is unchanged and retains its great musical gameplay for one or two players. Bust-a-Groove 2 will ship in the third quarter of this year.
