E3: Sega reveals Shen Mue release date

   Amidst the hoopla of the Electronic Entertainment Expo, today Sega confirmed that Shen Mue will ship for the Dreamcast on November 14. "Since no game has ever matched the epic scope of 'Shenmue,' there is an overwhelming amount of anticipation," said Charles Bellfield, director of communications Sega of America. "'Shenmue' reaffirms that Sega is still the leader when it comes to innovative and engaging content."

   Also contained within the press release were details of Shen Mue's online component known as 'Shen Mue Passport.' Like its Japanese counterpart, the Shen Mue Passport allows players via the user's ISP to archive information about people and places in the game, new moves mastered, the ability to post scores online, and to download images to their VMU.
