Mega Man 64 details, screens and box art
[05.10.00] » Although Mega Man 64 is just a Mega Man Legends port, Capcom plans to address the most common complaints in the process.
With Mega Man Legends 2 released in Japan and heading for the states soon, Capcom is preparing the first Mega Man Legends for release on the N64, under the clever alias Mega Man 64. However, don't expect just a straight port of Mega Man Legends - In Capcom-ese, Mega Man 64 would be called Mega Man Super EX Alpha. The gameplay will receive the most attention, including the highly welcomed addition of analog and rumble pack support. Other touch-ups will include slightly smaller levels backed by more strategically placed enemies for more challange. Also, certain areas will have "Time Attack" modes, although it's yet to be revealed what exactly the Time Attack will pertain to, be it rewards based on time or events unfolding on a schedule. The port will also make use of the N64's graphic effects, using anti-aliasing to smooth out the jagged edges often found in Mega Man Legends.
