E3: New Gold and Silver Pokémon announced

   At a pre-E3 press conference, Nintendo announced the official North American names of five more new Gold- and Silver-edition Pokémon: Ho-Oh the owl (#163), Lugia the sea monster (#249), Chikorita the plant creature (#152), Cyndaquil the anteater (#154), and Totodile the crocodile (#157). The latter three Pokémon are the new starting Pokémon, replacing Bulbasaur, Squirtle, and Charmander.
