Samba de Amigo confirmed for U.S. release

   Sega today confirmed that it will be localizing Sonic Team's maraca-based music game Samba de Amigo and publishing the title in North America. As Konami's Bemani series has still yet to grace U.S. PlayStations, Samba de Amigo will become the first console instrument-based music game to appear in English -- though whether or not the maraca controllers will actually be in available in North America has yet to be determined.

   A specific release date for Samba de Amigo has yet to be announced, though the title will be on display later this week at the Electronics Entertainment Expo.
