Metal Gear Solid PC-bound
[05.08.00] » VR Missions, Integral features to be included.
Long rumored, a PC port of Konami's Metal Gear Solid is finally official. To be published by Microsoft, the port -- developed by Konami -- will include all the features of the enhanced Japan-only Metal Gear Solid Integral rerelease. These enhancements include not only the 300 VR missions (released separately in North America as Metal Gear Solid VR Missions), but the first-person mode and randomized enemy placements found only in Integral. Of course, a high-resolution mode will also be available to support PC 3-D accelerator cards. It's even possible that the MGS Integral PocketStation game may make an appearance as a stand-alone program akin to the PC version of Final Fantasy VIII's Chocobo World.
The PC version of Metal Gear Solid will likely arrive in the fall; expect the title to be on display this week at the Electronics Entertainment Expo.
