Tokyo Game Show Playstation lineups announced
[03.22.00] » While Square only plans to show movies of their games, many other titles will be ready and playable for TGS atendees.
As the Spring 2000 Tokyo Game Show draws near, almost all of the companies
attending have announced the titles that they'll have on the show floor.
Japanese gaming magazine DengekiPS has published a list of all of the
PSX/PS2 games that will be at the show. However, the coming slow months on
both the Playstation and Playstation2 in Japan don't look to have much in
the way of fortification, from the looks of the list. Many of the highly
anticipated games, such as Final Fantasy IX, Persona 2 - Eternal
Punishment, and Tales of Eternia will arrive in movie-only form. Japanese
favorite Dragon Quest VII will (once again) be playable, as will Breath of
Fire IV and Evergrace. Konami provides the strongest lineup of the bunch,
and will give eager gamers a chance to sample their latest BEMANI titles,
as well as their upcoming non-music titles Eldergate, Reiselied, RED, and
the newly announced Zoe. Although not on the list, SCEI is also rumoured to
be showing their new Survival Horror game Aconcagua, named after, as well
as taking place on, the highest mountain in South America. Square provides
the biggest disappointment of the group, with Final Fantasy IX being the
only RPG in their lineup, and making it unplayable to boot. Here is a look
at the list in full (in alphabetical order):

While there still may be a few surprises up the sleeves of Japanese game

yes, for all of you who were wondering, Enix will be selling their famous
Dragon Quest brand ashtrays.
