GIA hiring; letters columnist wanted
[03.06.00] » He who wishes staff to be must answer me these questions three...
First things first: Drew is just fine. He's just really busy, and the trials and tribulations of a daily column have become more than his schedule will allow. So he's stepping down from Double Agent to help out with the rest of the GIA (witness his recent Harvest Moon 64 review). While Drew will be back for one final "farewell" column, the GIA finds itself in the awkward position of being without a letter columnist.
That's where you come in.
The GIA is looking for a single dedicated, knowledgable, hard-working, sardonic, witty, and just plain fun person to join the GIA staff as the Double Agent columist. This position is a significant amount of work -- it will require daily updates every weekday, rain or shine -- but it also offers you a chance to interact directly with the GIA's readership.
A blunt word of warning to any potential applicants: we are not looking for a "personality." We are looking for an intelligent and driven individual who is willing to work like a madman (or madwoman) as part of the GIA team. Serious applications should be sent to staff@thegia.com. Jokers and egomaniacs need not apply. The application deadline is Monday, March 13th, 5:00 PM EST.
We're looking forward to hiring one of you. Good luck!
