Pokémon Stadium released

[03.06.00] » The first Pokémon game of 2000 is finally in stores.

   Nintendo announced today that Pokémon Stadium -- complete with N64-Game Boy Transfer Park -- has shipped to retailers at a suggsted retail price of $69.99. A bundle containing both a Nintendo 64 and Pokémon Stadium will be follow on March 27th for $149.99. (A $14.99 PokéSta strategy guide is also due out on March 16th.)

   ""Pokémon Stadium is the game that Poké-fans have been craving for ever since the introduction of the franchise," said Peter Main, Nintendo's executive vice president of sales and marketing. "The ability to transfer Pokémon that have been trained on Game Boy to full 3-D battle arenas is something every experienced player has dreamed of doing."
