Soul Reaver sequel announced

   Eidos recently announced a sequel to one of its most popular titles of late, Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver. Originally released for the PlayStation last summer, Soul Reaver recently saw a Dreamcast port as well, and has been a top seller on both systems.

   No details were revealed on the new title -- the third in the Legacy of Kain series -- but its billing as a sequel to Soul Reaver means it's almost a given that it will feature a similar style of gameplay as Soul Reaver. Presumably, the story will cover some of the material cut from the original Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver.

   The sequel will be released for PlayStation, Dreamcast, and PC in late 2000. Surprisingly, a PlayStation 2 port is not currently in the works.
