Chase the Express U.S. bound?

[02.27.00] » Action-heavy adventure title from SCEI may grace U.S. shores.

gamestop.com is reporting that Chase the Express will be coming to the U.S. June 30th, 2000 with Activision as the game's publisher. Activision could not be reached for comment, so the information should still be considered tenative. The GIA will bring you an in-depth preview shortly.

Chase the Express is an adventure title that was recently released in Japan to mixed reception. The action-oriented game plays like a Capcom "Survival Horror" title, with character relative movement and lots of foes to mow down. The game also shares similarities with Syphon Filter, with a modern, "covert operations" setting, a massive arsenal, and real-time 3D environments. The game is 2 CDs, filled with decent English voice acting and scads of FMV. The title comes from the game's setting: the game's action is almost entirely on, on top of, or in pursuit of a rapidly speeding train.
