Final Fantasy IX plot to include crystals

   A medieval environment and black mages in pointy hats won't be the only story elements Final Fantasy IX shares with the FFs of yore -- according to Magic Box, the ninth Final Fantasy will also feature the elementally-aligned crystals that figured prominently in Final Fantasies III, IV, V, and Mystic Quest. Such a revelation is hardly a surprise; an early design sketch displays a poster of a crystal in plain view.
