Pokémon: The First Movie DVD details

   Warner Home Video recently announced new details on the DVD release of Pokémon: The First Movie, released last November in theaters. The DVD is scheduled for a March 21st release; in addition to the 78-minute film, the disc will contain a wealth of extra features:

  • Commentary from the director and producer
  • A brand new animated segment, "The Story of Mewtwo's Origin"
  • A preview of Pokémon: The Second Movie, due out this summer
  • "Poké-Fun Facts: The History of Anime"
  • Guides to various Pokémon games, as well as an archived version of Nintendo's online Pokédex (seen at pokemon.com)
  • M2M's music video "Don't Say You Love Me"

   A VHS version of the movie will be released at the same time; it includes The Story of Mewtwo's Origin and the preview of The Second Movie, but lacks the other special features.
