ITEMS TO GET: Ether Guard, Zetasol DX (x2), King's Helm,
Gold Bullion, SurvivalTent, STR Drive,
VIT Drive, ETH Drive, ETHDEF Drive,
Kishin Sword
Yay, an actual dungeon! First of all, go talk
to the robot nearby; it's actually Johnny the
storekeeper. He has lots of equipment and Gear
upgrades; upgrade the characters and Gears you plan
on using first. For this dungeon, I strongly
recommend using Bart, and then either Elly and
Emeralda. And before you even enter, squeeze through
the narrow passage east of Johnny and then go north
to find a chest with an Ether Guard.
Head north past Johnny and cross the ruined
highway to the main dungeon entrance. Don't go in,
though; instead, get off your Gears and hop along the
pipe to the right. Circle all the way around behind
the building and collect the Zetasol DX and King's
Helm you find there (don't forget to equip the
helmet!). Then go back to the front door and enter.
The main enemies in here are the multi-faceted
Defencers. Possessing about 1000 HP, they can hit
you with a variety of attacks, including a laser
(about 100 HP damage), Net (causes Stop), EP
Buster (almost assuredly kills you), and Explode
(halves the party's HP). Also be warned that there's
often more of them you can see, as they have a
tendency to get graphically "stacked" on top of each
other.
Go straight until you get to the big four-way
intersection. Take a west to find a Gold Bullion,
then go east. Ascend the stairs and go north (past
the side hall) until you can go no further. Head
west through the door and into a dark room. Search
the crate in the southwest and you'll find a fuse (it
doesn't appear in your inventory; but you'll have it).
Leave the dark room and go south to the side hall you
passed up earlier. Go west through the door there,
which leads to the upper level of a large circular
room. Walk along the balcony to the next door and
go through. You're now in the other half of the dark
room. Put the fuse in the glowing fusebox (in the
northwest corner) to turn the lights on, then examine
the computer. Fei will use it to turn off the "A"
level door locks, such as the one on the door to
the north. Go through there.
Head west down the corridor until you reach the
fork. Keep going due west and you'll reach a chest
with a Survival Tent. Get it, go back to the fork,
and go southwest. The passage turns south; walk
that direction until you get to the end of the hall.
Exit west into another control room. Grab the
Zetasol DX, then activate the terminal in the
upper-right. Enter 0320 as the password (it relates
to the position of the lockers behind you) to activate
the other computers. Use the one on the west wall
to remove the "B" door locks.
Leave the control room and go back north.
Take the first exit to the east to reach another
elevator (Square sure seems to have an elevator
fetish...) and descend. Exit east and you'll be
on the lower level of the large circular room you
saw earlier. You'll run into some purple monsters
here (didn't catch the name; sorry) that use fire
attacks; hit them with water attacks to kill them.
They'll often drop Gold Bullions.
In the circular room, go north through the
door (you have to have released the "B" locks to
get through). Examine all the control panels to
find out about the Anima Relic puzzle and to activate
the elevator (o_O). Leave that tiny room and
stand in the panel in the center of the circular
room. Hit X and go down to the puzzle room. This
puzzle isn't that difficult once you figure out what
to do; just examine the gray box on the west side of
the room to see a pattern of numbers. You have to fill
in the four blank spaces (by inputting the numbers at
the respective terminals) to make the row and column
have the same value. Just put 8 in the west terminal,
4 in the north terminal, 2 in the east terminal, and
5 in the south terminal, then go back to the gray box
to activate -- wait for it -- the elevator. Go hop
on it and choose to go down. On B3, head east through
the bazillion doors to the Anima Relic room. Examine
the control panel and Billy and Elly will enter (if
they're not already with you). The Anima Relic will
bond with Billy, upgrading the Renmazuo into a new
model.
On your way back out of the dungeon, you'll
encounter the Elements, ready for one final battle (or
two, as the case may be ^_^). First, try to take
out Tolone and Seraphita, since they're the weakest.
They both have only 2000 HP, and you can probably
knock them out in one Deathblow or Ether of the correct
element (earth against Tolone, wind [I think] against
Seraphita). Kelvena is a bit tougher since she
absorbs all elemental damage, so just use physical
attacks on her. When the other Elements are all down,
Dominia will step up her attacks and start using a
combo that does 200-300 HP damage. Have Bart use
Water Mode and Red Cologne, then attack her with
non-elemental Deathblows (if he has Tornado, though,
that's even better; use that). Fei should cast Iron
Valor, then attack with Suikei (if he doesn't have it,
use Ryujin -- Square, Triangle, X -- instead). Your
third character (Elly or Emeralda) should use her
water-elemental Ethers. Dominia has somewhere between
4000 and 4500 HP.
You'll get the customary collection of Drives
when you win, but things aren't over yet. The Elements
then hop in their Gears and merge into the G Elements.
The focus of this battle is the G Elements's shifting
elements, depending on who's piloting it (there will be
a message when the pilot changes... and if you didn't
know already, Tolone is air, Seraphita is fire, Kelvena
is water, and Dominia is earth). Have Elly / Emeralda
cast Ethers of the opposing element, and have Bart's
Andvari use the ____ Mode spells to change its attack
element. Weltall-2, of course, should just use System
Id and pound on the G Elements with Goten X or Kishin
(Kishin is better, if you've learned it). Watch out,
once Dominia takes control near the end of the battle,
it will start using a Kishin Sword attack that does
5000-6000 damage per attack... hope you've got some
Frame HPs handy. At that point, it's only got about
10,000 HP left, though, so just keep attacking and you'll
finish it off. You'll receive the Kishin Sword, a
powerful sword for Citan's Gear, after the battle.
