ITEMS TO GET: None (but you usually get some Drives from the Elements)

   Your next mission is to shut down the second of the three Gates. If you'd like, you can revisit all the towns in Ignas and the people will have new things to say (big whoop). Also, there are some kids in Bledavik who have a cute little play about Bart and the gang ^_^.

   Fly the Yggdrasil to Babel Tower and enter (yeah, from the air). You'll be left on the ledge where you fought Ramsus and Miang the last time you were hear. Enter the tower and proceed until you get to that pit. Drop down in, get out of your Gears, and go in the door down there. Search the second panel from the south side of the room to rotate the lens into position. Citan will stay behind; leave the room, get in your Gears, and go back the way you came. Dominia and Kelvena will show up, and you'll fight. This battle is pathetically easy; all you have to do is have Weltall attack each Gear once and Vierge use Aerods, and, bingo, no more Elements.

   You now have to assemble a party to go to Ft. Jasper, led by Billy. Although the game says Chu-Chu is going with you, don't take her along; you're sure to get killed. Put Maria and Rico in your party instead, and equip either Fire Veil Armor or Wind Veil Armor (or both) on those two characters' Gears. Make sure one of them (preferably Siebzehn) has the DeathBlower1 as well.

   At Fort Jasper, Billy will leave the party to man the controls while the other characters fight the remaining two Elements in their Gears. This battle is a whole lot tougher than the one at Babel Tower, as you're left without Aerods. The Skyghene has a very high evade rate, so attack Sera's Grandgrowl first and take it out. Once the Grandgrowl is out, Tolone will heal herself, but if you haven't attacked her, it's irrelevant. Start using Square button attacks on Skyghene (it's immune to X attacks) to build up your Attack Level, then hit it with Deathblows. It can do up to 2000 damage with its flight attack, so stay healed!

   After you beat both sets of Elements, Billy will fire the Ft. Jasper cannon, but miss. While he readies a second shot, you have to fight the Elements battles a second time. The one against Bladegash and Marinebasher as just as easy, but Skyghene and Grandgrowl will probably give you even more trouble since you have less HP. Use the same strategy as before.

   This time, Billy will succeed (which is a good thing, I sure wouldn't want to fight Skyghene and Grandgrowl again), and the Second Gate is destroyed. Two down, one to go...
