ITEMS TO GET: Aquasol (x2), Spider, [Midori's Ring]

   To get to the mountains, you can either leave Lahan via the south exit and walk there on the world map, or just take the north exit from Lahan. Since the enemies on the world map can actually be kinda tough, I recommend the latter. Once you arrive at the mountains, use the save point just ahead of you to save your game.

   You'll have your first battles here, but they shouldn't be too big of a deal. Both the Jackals and Hobgobs can be taken out in one round of attacks, and they do pretty minimal damage to you. Just use lots of Triangle attacks to work towards your first Deathblow (for more info on how the Deathblow and other systems work, see the AP and Deathblows section).

   Anyway, take the west fork and continue past the sign. Loop around up to a higher level, with a cliff to your north. Head to the northeast corner of this area and jump across the short gap (use Circle to jump). Head east as far as you can, then go south until you reach a dead end. Spin the camera around and you should see a chest in a little nook. Jump up and grab it for an Aquasol, then head back the way you came. Jump back across the short gap and head southeast. You'll see a kid here who tells you that the bridge is out and you have to jump across. Head left to the gap and hop over (easy), then go north across the rope bridge. Once across the bridge, turn west and loop down under the bridge. Open the partially-concealled chest here for another Aquasol, then go back up to the top of the bridge. Go right and you'll reach another signpost pointing to Citan's house. Before you go there, however, jump up in the tree to the west of the exit and a spider will start moving up and down in it. Time another jump up and grab it with X (this will probably take a few tries). And what does this spider do for you? Well, I'm afraid it's another item that you'll just have to hang on to and use later ^_^.

   Take the exit to the north and you'll be at Citan's house (the music will change). Before you go inside, climb up the stairs near the door. At the first balcony, go in one of the doors and a chicken will run out. Ignore it and go on into the doorway. Hit X and you'll receive another Aquasol. You can continue up the stairway to use the obligatory telescope, otherwise, go back down and in the main door. Talk to Yui and Midori, then go back outside. Hop over the flowerbeds on the west side of the house (or maybe it's the east side, I forget ^_^), then turn around and search them; one of them has Midori's Ring in it. It won't appear in your inventory, but you do have it. Then go to the small building in the rear. When you approach, Citan will hop down from the roof and talk to you. You'll go inside the storeroom, where Fei and Citan listen to a music box... until it explodes. Back outside, go back in the front door of the house proper.
