- On the character select screen, it says "MP" instead
of "EP". Oops.
- Fei loses consciousness a total of 10 times. Ouch.
- By my count, there are a total of 40 elevators or
elevator-like devices in the game... no comment...
- There is a shirt with the PSM smiley face in the
Orphanage, and a poster of Tifa in the house in
Etrenank where you get the tickets.
- Time to ponder the mysteries of the universe! Why do
you spend so much time jumping around in your Gears
when the Gears can obviously fly? (see the Hecht
sequence) And why does Elly fight with a rod when she
obviously has a gun (see the anime scene where she meets
Fei)?
- As I'm sure you know, Xenogears was developed by the
same team that did Chrono Trigger, and the influence
shows in many ways. Contrary to popular belief,
though, the music box themes are *not* the same.
There is one musical similary, though: The beginning
of the music in Bart's HQ is identical to the beginning
of CT's Guardia Castle theme.
- At the end of the game, Citan says his sensors are
picking up a wave of energy from Deus, but by this time
the Gears have already stopped working. Huh?
- In the Snowfield Hideout, there's a woman standing just
to the east of the bar. Talk to her, then jump onto
her head while the dialog box is still on the screen.
Now gently tap left and walk off her head, and you
will mysteriously materialize back on her head. If
you keep tapping left, you can do this over and over.
I have too much free time on my hands...
- Try bugging the receptionist in Battling by selecting
items to trade for, then saying you don't want them.
If you keep doing this over and over, the receptionist
will get more and more irritated and make different
angry remarks.
