ITEMS TO GET: 15 purple fairies

    Before seeking the dungeon fairies, make absolutely sure you have the Great Fairy's Mask. If there are any fairies left in a room, the mask will react, and freed fairies will also be drawn toward you when you wear it. Also important is the compass for each dungeon, as the random treasure chests that you may miss during exploration are most likely fairies. Highlight the hidden text at the end of this page if you want to know what the reward is for finding all 15.

    The fairy fountain is also a bit hidden for Great Bay -- look for a small group of islands just off the shore outside Zora Hall. Jump your way to the islands with trees, then hookshot your way across them and blow up the boulder at the end to reveal the fountain.

    1. Light the four torches before the first door and open the chest that appears.

    2. Dive under the platform by the entrance to the flywheel room.

    3. Kill the Skulltula in the southwest corner of the flywheel room.

    4. Destroy the barrel on the left side of the turbine room with a Goron Punch.

    5. Smash the pot at the bottom of the turbine room with either your boomerang fins or an arrow from above.

    6. In the room with the map, use your hookshot to smash the pots across from the map chest.

    7. Kill all five Deku Babas in the narrow room after the map room and open the chest that appears.

    8. In the room with the compass, look underwater to the right of the entrance and smash the pot between the Dexihands with n arrow.

    9. In the room past the waterfall, hookshot to the barrels on the left and then shoot an ice arrow into the water underneath the opening in the northwest corner of the overhead grating. Swim to the platform, climb on, and quickly hookshot to the ring on the ceiling to fall onto the grate and access the chest.

    10. In the room with two huge flywheels, hookshot from the second moving platform into an alcove tucked away down and to the southeast.

    11. After you stop the machinery in the same room, walk across the axle and up the blade to get a hookshot angle on the chest in the northern alcove.

    12. Dive in the water underneath the first of the see-saws, then smash into the barrel as Zora Link.

    13. In the room with the see-saws, jump up the green pipe in the southeast corner as Zora Link, then drop down into the enclosed area and hookshot to the chest inside.

    14. In the room before Gyorg, stand on the part of the green pipe just above the water and free the fairy underneath the center platform with an arrow.

    15. In the room before Gyorg, use your boomerang fins to free the fairy trapped underwater in the northwest corner.
