Final Fantasy Movie clips from SIGGRAPH '99 |
More media |
SIGGRAPH '99, a trade expo for the computer graphics industry currently underway, hosts conferences and features exhibits from companies in the forefront of graphical design. Sitting at booth #2458 on the show floor is Squaresoft's contribution to the field: demo clips of Final Fantasy: The Movie.
While the clips are short, they offer a fantastic new glimpse at Square's fully computer-generated movie. The camera begins by panning across a desolate, barren landscape of some kind, with a harsh sun glaring in the background. Between camera pans, the scene switches to an up-close look at a young woman's face, who appears to be staring out at the wasteland. She blinks, and her eyes appear to narrow in sadness as she continues watching. The clip then cuts to a brief splash of the words "Final Fantasy" surrounded by blue mist.
A huge thank you goes to Micheal Comet (from Comet Cartoons) for the filming, and Mark-Andrew Carbonneau for the news tip.
