Halloween Jesse Artist: Lianne Booton Media: pencil, Adobe PhotoShop 5 Artist's Commentary I was inspired to create this piece as a sort of Halloween card for a Pokemon site that I regularly produce fan art for, the style of drawing I used was inspired by a piece of artwork I saw for the show Ah! My Goddess. I drew Jesse in this scene because she is an evil character in the game anyway and so she would fit perfectly into the subject of the drawing. The reason for drawing the scene the way I did was as a challenge for me because I usually do not draw pictures which consist of any landscape. I really like this piece of artwork, I feel that it is definitely one of the best pieces of work I have produced, I feel that the colours have been chosen well and look quite nice, even though when I was producing the picture I was unsure of what the colours would look like and whether they would be too bright for the piece. Also another point is that this was a new direction for my artwork as I do not usually draw in the style portrayed in the picture, so this piece was a way of testing my skills to their limits.   « Previous Back to gallery Next »
