Artist's Commentary
You'll notice Misty is a bit different in this pic. Her hair is black instead of brownish orange and she looks more grown up. This is because this design is from the manga not the series. While I wouldn't call myself a Pokemaniac I did enjoy the Toshihiro Ono's rendition. So as a testimate to his originality I drew this.
