Having already established itself as a commanding presence in the stagnant world of survival horror titles, Konami's Silent Hill 2 is poised to scare the collective pants off gamers on the Xbox in the form of Silent Hill 2: Restless Dreams, an enhanced version of what players saw on the PlayStation 2.

   Restless Dreams takes the original Silent Hill 2 and improves on the already impressive graphics as well as further enhancing the game's all-too-realistic lighting effects. Everything that made the game so enjoyable is still there; the psychologically endangered cast, disturbing environments and terrifying gameplay that resulted in sleepless nights for many a gamer.

   However, players will also be able to take control of the seductress Maria, taking her on her own trip through Silent Hill. The Xbox version not only gives players control of Maria, but also supplies new areas of the town for her to explore as well as a fresh cast of characters to meet. Silent Hill 2: Restless Dreams is due out in December 2001.
