night like the velvet shades of my black cat
slithering down upon the day
curiosity alight in her gaze
come hither, see what makes my heart light!

ah, you little lights on my house, little dots, little sprites,
ye who adorn the warmth heind me
already joining my festivities, my song
I beseech thee, shine!

oh cloud drifting by the moon, oh shadow, oh vision...
the stars are too bright for thee tonight, dear cloud,
be gone, or be merry amde to join us!

my breath turns to dust in the air, frosted...
dancing crystals, turn a show for me
as I wait...

Love's embrace finds me this Christmas
with fluttery kisses laid upon my cheeks, my lips...
the opening petals of a rosebud as my heart turns to thine

hold me agaisnt the treachery of the world, love
twine my hands through yours
dance with me among my friends
the moon, the stars, the lights, the very air we breathe

for they rejoice that we have found one another
and are together
you can see them all reflected in my eyes
