Valkyrie Profile's bizarre Japanese commercial depicts several confusing scenes. First, a old woman is seen cradling a man, apparently her son. She sobs, "My sorrow is as deep as the oceans. Open your eyes!" Valkyrie herself then walks in, announcing "I am Valkyrie, messenger of Valhalla." Next, Valkyrie stands in ruins of a building, and bows down while a small girl watches. Feathers fly, a candle burns, and clouds hang in the sky. (But yes, there are gameplay scenes.)

   Thankfully, the dialog is in English with Japanese subtitles, allowing Japanese and English gamers alike to watch in bewilderment.
