As described in our TGS Valkyrie Profile impressions, tri-Ace's latest battle engine is far more action-based than conventional turn-based setups. Four characters are controlled at once, with each character assigned to one of the four main PlayStation controller buttons. With each button and corresponding directions on the control/analog pad, players can attack, defend, jump, counter, feint, and dodge all in a fast-paced frenzy.
