The Megami Tensei series certainly isn't known for following the conventions of your typical role-playing title, and that's reflected in Persona 2: Eternal Punishment's harder-edged but stellar intro. The game's character designer has a sort of modern aesthetic that transcends gothic, and provides for an extremely unique visual style. The intro's bass-heavy soundtrack, as well, sounds spectacular -- the higher-quality MP3 version can be downloaded here. The second movie is a story sequence featuring the new red-suited Tatsuya.
Persona 2: Eternal Punishment will be released in Japan next month. Look for a US release to follow in November.
(As an added bonus, we've also posted a very special version of the Persona 2: Eternal Punishment intro below for users on slow modem connections, like the GIA's Andrew Kaufmann.)
