EB World amends Lunar release date

[01.07.99] » Still officially scheduled for a first quarter 1999 release, EB World now slots Lunar : Silver Star Story in February.

   We've known for a while that Lunar : Silver Star Story didn't have an icicle's chance in he--err, wasn't likely to be shipped to retailers by January 10th, as listed in EB World's release date database. Starting today, EB World now holds a date of February 16th, 1999 for the game. Working Designs still maintains a Q1 '99 release date on their homepage.

   Is EB World's date accurate? GIA is guessing at a mid-March timeframe for Lunar, as the beta version we had a chance to play a few months ago was still lacking a complete text translation and did not yet seem to have any English voice acting. Any guesses must also keep the "WD warning" in mind: objects on website are further than they appear.

   Bad jokes aside, EB World also lists Sony's Legend of Legaia with a January 20th release date despite the game being officially confirmed for a March release.
