Happy New Year's
[01.01.99] » With the New Year comes the G.I.A.'s return,
but there are a few small wrinkles left to iron out. And by the way, we
have some new staff members...
Happy New Year's everybody! Thanks for bearing
with us during this server location change. It's been quite an annoying to
us as well. We're pleased to report that overall, there were few
hitches (which in Internet server-speak means only two dozen) in
the move.
Unfortunately, approximately 20% of the Internet at
this time is not resolving the page's address properly. In other words,
if any of your friends are having trouble connecting to GIA, tell them
to try connecting to http://166.70.74.8/ .
In other server news, some email addresses, including the main
staff@gaming-intelligence address, appears to not be working.
If you've sent a mail to that address recently and haven't gotten
a reply, it's because we haven't seen your message. We'll let you
know when it's working properly, but until then, urgent messages
can be sent to andrewk@gaming-intelligence.com.
As promised we've returned from our various parties
at not only full force. We will be implementing a more routine
schedule of updates in the upcoming weeks, but because of the downtime
and the holidays, we're going to toss a bunch of updates at you at once
for now, including our first addition to the vault (a retrospective
by on Ultima: Quest of the Avatar, by the new Andrea Hartmann) and a
feature (a strange look at 1998, by Andrew Kaufmann).
Yes, retrospective by Andrea Hartmann. We've hired some new staff
members, and their work will be appearing all over the page in the
near future. They'll receive a more formal introduction soon.
