Capcom is the master of the franchise. Street Fighter, Mega Man, Resident Evil ... gamers love them, and the series seem to never end. It was somewhat surprising, then, that Capcom's first game for the Nintendo 64 is not from one of their more established franchises, but instead a revival of their ancient Disney license.
Capcom's Magical Tetris Challenge sends Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald, and company on a Tetris quest. New features include a magical ability that can remove the bottom six rows of the stack - helpful for those high-stakes, high-stack players. Tetrinuts will love Capcom's Total Landing System, which places a ghost image in the position where a dropped block will land. This should help eliminate those nasty misdrops!
A single-player "story" mode unfolds in conflicts with classic Disney villains - Tetris style! Updown Tetris mode provides a variety of unique Tetris challenges. Endless mode lets you play until you lose (or, if you're good, forever). A two-player mode provides head-to-head competition. But in the end, Tetris is Tetris. Tetris + Disney = Magical Tetris Challenge. Fans of cute puzzle games should find lots to enjoy.
