Prerequisites: The Little Sorcerers
The first time you recruit Bud into your party, you'll receive this quest,
though you'll only be able to complete in stages as you progress through
the game. It entails tracking down the six extant Wisdoms and talking to
them with Bud in your party. Each Wisdom will donate part of the World
History Encyclopedia that explains much of Legend of Mana's backstory.
The Wisdoms can be found as followed:
- Gaeus the Earth. The easiest to find, Gaeus is located in
the lower-right corner of Luon Highway. Take a south turn at the first
fork and an east turn at the second, then proceed straight until you
reach him.
- Pokiehl the Bird. Pokiehl is located all over the place,
depending on what quest you're currently working on. Locations at
which he can spotted:
- In Lumina, at the begining of The Fallen Emperor
- In Watts' workshop, before you find Watts
- Again in the mines, in the Pokiehl: Dream Teller quest
- At the bottom of the Underworld, in Diddle Had It!
- In your workshop, as part of The Cage of Dreams
- At the base of the Mana Tree, at the end of the game
(If all else fails, you can meet him at that location; he never
moves from it.)
- Tote the Tortoise. The easiest way to get Tote is to just
bring Bud along when you attempt the Gorgon's Eye quest. Failing
that way, Tote can always be located at the very end of Lake Kilma,
on the cliff you once jumped off.
- Rosiotti the Beast. Rosiotti never budges from his
throne in the Jungle. Just warp to the Forested Ruins via the
Flowerling's psychokinesis service and chat with him.
- Olbohn the Warrior. Olbohn is located in the Underworld;
you'll have to complete the Fallen Emperor quest before you can get
there. Then just take Bud down to Olbohn's room, meet with him, and
have the Shadoles warp you out.
- Selva of the Four Winds. The last of the Wisdoms, Selva
can first be spotted on Lucemia. If you fail to catch him there, you
can find him later in Gato Grottoes.
Note that if you want to get all the Cactus Diaries, do not
talk to the last Wisdom while you "trapped" in some other quest (such
as Pokiehl: Dream Teller or Heaven's Gate). Why? As soon as you return
to Home after meeting the last Wisdom, Bud will yell "YEAH!" and you'll
get the quest completion screen before you can meet with L.C. to record
the previous quest.
Li'l Cactus' quote: "Seventh one is girl."
Cactus Diary:
"The little boy got to find six of the Seven Wisdoms. There are only six Wisdoms? Did they pick that name because it sounds good? Maybe they can't do math."
