Quest 6 Diddle's Letter More quests

Prerequisites: AF Wheel

Talk to Diddle -- the organ grinder -- in Domina's Park of Mana Angel and he'll leave. Proceed northwest to the town map, then step back into the park. Capella the monkey will be waiting for you, wondering where Diddle is. Chat with him, then proceed to the town square and talk to the Sproutling there. It tells you it saw a yellow bird carry off Diddle, so go to Miss Yuka's inn. Capella is already there, inquiring about Diddle, but Yuka professes innocence and says that Pelican may have been responsible.

Return to the outskirts of Domina and talk to Capella. Some rather humorous scenes will follow, and you'll officially receive the quest "Diddle's Letter." Leave the screen, return, and talk to Pelican. Peli informs you that she sent the letter off to Luon Highway.

Go to the Highway and talk to Boink -- the big purple hippo -- to teleport yourself to the southern fork. Pick up the letter waiting there and Capella will race in. No matter what you'll say to him, he'll end up reading it. Continue southwest to the cave entrance, where Diddle is waiting. Tell the truth (that Capella read the letter) and Diddle will run off into the cave. Capella chases him. (If you lie and say that Capella didn't read the letter, you'll have to return to the entrance of the area before Diddle runs into the cave -- the story ends up the same, but you have to do more walking.)

Return to the entrance by going northeast, northwest at the fork, and then due west at the second fork. Diddle will then inquire about his letter, and Capella admits he read it. Diddle storms off in a huff. Boink back to the fork and head southwest into the Chobin Hood Cave. Proceed through this area, collecting the two chests along the way, until you reach the final room. Here, you'll encounter the quest's boss, the Giga Rex. (This room is also an egg / spirit ground during other times.)

Defeat the Giga Rex and more scenes will follow. Diddle and Capella will end up friends again, and you'll be rewarded with a Gator Skin. Be sure to hang onto it; you'll need it for a later quest. The quest then ends, and -- as always -- you're returned to the world map.

Li'l Cactus' quote: "Welcome home." (slowly)
Cactus Diary:
"A pelican kidnapped a little boy!? And it threw the boy away somewhere? That's just not right. What are the people at the child protection agency doing?"
