Prerequisites: Reach for the Stars, AF Flame, AF Tome of Magic First, receive the Niccolo Calls It Quits? quest from Kristie in Geo. Skip through the dungeon to the waterfall, then turn around and enter the dungeon from the south exit. Head right and enter the last cave entrance you come to. This is the elixir room; talk to nuns here and you'll learn that "some rabbit" drank up all the elixir. Step outside and you'll be accosted by a drunken Niccolo. Smack his fat merchant ass around and he'll eventually run off. (Watch out for the "chests" he drops; they're actually time bombs.) Then go back in and talk to the nuns. You're told that you need "a barrel in your soul" to collect the oasis water necessary for making the blessed elixir. If you've ever talked to the bartender in Geo, you'll probably his odd comment about having a barrel in his soul. Go talk to him now and he'll refer you to the manager of the tavern in Lumina. Head to Lumina and speak with the manager. Listen to his "interesting story," then answer "Yep" to his question. You'll get a barrel in your soul. Trek through Duma Desert, following the same route you did to get to Mephianse (see Reach for the Stars). One of the paths near the ends now leads to a new location: the oasis. Here, your character will use the barrel in his/her soul to suck up some of the oasis water. You're automatically transported back to the elixir room, and the quest ends.
